Hello

I know the festive season seems a far away memory, but Happy New Year from Shepherd’s Rest Campsite in the Scottish Borders to all our lovely campers, glampers and campervanners who have stayed with us before. In 2026 we hope to be sending a regular newsletters with updates on the animals, what’s happening on the farm and some great offers, so stayed tuned!

The Northern Lights

This winter we have had some amazing displays of the Nothern Lights at the farm and on the nearby coast. We managed to get a few images taken at Etal castle not quite professional but still awe inspiring.

On The Farm

Between the snow showers, wind and rain, we have been busy planting our new organic apple orchard on the farm. We have chosen Scottish Heritage varieties that in a few years time with some tlc will be providing us with plenty of fantastically tasty apples to make apple juice and cider to sell to local shops, restuarants and here on the campsite

The Animals

All the animals are keeping well on the farm, Katie the pony really doesn’t seem to mind the frosty weather!
