Glamping in Style!
If you are looking for the perfect Glamping getaway in the Scottish Borders or Northumberland. Our traditional shepherd’s huts are ideal surrounded by native hedging with uninterrupted views over open countryside. They are the perfect cosy retreat to let you unwind in country style, making your stay as comfortable and relaxing as can be.
You can put your feet up in front of a toasty fire after a day exploring and watch the sunset in the evening… and when the night falls, the dark starry skies here are sensational, just the thing before snuggling up in luxurious surroundings, listening to the calls of the tawny owls.
We believe at Shepherd’s Rest that your holiday with us is an opportunity to unwind, enjoy the beautiful surrounding and reconnect with them. So we don’t supply Wi-Fi on site (although a 4G signal is available) and in the Shepherd’s Huts we supply a radio but no TV as way of a digital detox. Books, magazines and games are included for you to read or play, so you can have time to relax, unwind or even be inspired!
You are welcome on the farm to say hello to animals, sheep, pigs and ponies etc. You can also view our newly planted native woodland area !
Unfortunately we do not accept Pets.

We went on a trip up north to see friends earlier on in the year and stayed at Shepherds Rest for the second time. The shepherd hut was lovely - well kept and had everything we needed and Alison and Mark were brilliant as hosts again.
The Shepherd's Rest is a lovely place! Clean and tidy as a wee bonsai tree you can enjoy the sound of silence and sleep under the stars. Surrounded by the fields you can take lovely walks and breath fresh air. Toilets are clean, cute and equipped. Madame Alison welcome is the sixth star that I can not rate here.
What a great find! We stayed in Willow - one of the shepherd's huts - and had a really cosy, comfortable and relaxing stay. The hut was immaculately clean, as were the shared facilities. I think most people things it looks easy to run a place like this but so much work goes on behind the scenes to maintain and make the site work so well!
I don't really want to leave a review because I don't want everyone to know about this FABULOUS little site. It's in a beautiful, idyllic location, it's clean, quiet, friendly, perfect and wonderful. The owners are friendly and helpful and give you little tips for places to visit. I visited with my 18 year old and 14 year old and they loved it too. "We'll be back!😍"
