Hello
The weather on the farm has been glorious if a bit dry, we always find it hard to sit in front of the computer when there are plenty of jobs outside to do, and the sun keeps shining 🙂
The fabulous sunny Spring weather has made for a wonderful camping experience, with the possible exception of the easter bank holiday weekend, where it was a bit chilly and damp (typical for the easter bank hols! 🙂
The animals on the farm that you may have met while staying here – Carlos, Lando, and Kimi the goats are full of the joys of spring, but missing the campers, queueing up to feed them grass! Katie, the Shetland pony is looking very fluffy but shedding her winter coat, which is helpful for the nesting birds.
We have some new hens on the farm for everyone to meet when they stay, some very friendly Welsummers and cream legbar hens that lay blue eggs!

Wild flower meadow
We have been busy sowing a 2-acre meadow with phacelia flowers, which will be very beneficial for the insect life on the farm. The bees and butterflies love it. Phacelia is also a great green manure for the fields, so in the autumn, we just work it back into the soil to help soil health, so a win-win for everyone.
We have also sown a small patch of wildflowers on the campsite, so if you can’t make it down to the main meadow, you will get a chance to see the bees and butterflies up close. It should be teaming with life in the summer 🙂

Jim Clark Rally
The Jim Clark Rally will return to the Scottish Borders from 22–24 May 2026, with an all-new format designed to keep the event fresh and competitive.
Based once again in Duns, the 2026 edition will feature around 100 competitive miles across the two-day rally. The action begins on Friday evening with four special stages, ensuring the much-loved night-time tradition remains a core part of the event. Saturday’s second leg will pack in around 65 miles across six demanding stages, offering an intense day of competition.
Sunday’s Jim Clark Reivers Rally will provide a fitting finale to the Scottish motorsport weekend, with around 58 stage miles over eight stages, ensuring another day of fast, flowing Border tarmac for crews and fans alike. So why not stay on our campsite and be close to the action!
