Around the campfire
Enjoy fun-filled evenings around the camp fire at Shepherd’s Rest, making memories and toasting marshmallows!
You can hire large fire pits to use during your stay, we also stock hardwood logs, kindling, firelighters and BBQ charcoal for sale. You can also hire fire pit grills, so you can cook up a tasty meal al fresco on your fire pit for everyone to enoy.
You can book your fire pit when you book online, or arrange it while you are here, the hire fee is for the duration of your stay.
Extra fire pit supplies can be purchased on site during your stay – we don’t permit foraging or burning of any found wood from the farm or surrounding areas. No burning of waste wood, rubbish or pallets – as we use the ash around our organic apple trees and don’t want any nasty waste on them!
Fire pits are used at your own risk and should not be left unattended. You are responsible for safe operation and children must be supervised at all times. They must be used safely away from buildings or tents and with consideration to other guests. Be careful of the wind direction. Cold ash only can be put into the waste ash bin on site.
